Jacobites aren't the same as Jacobins
While meaning no disrespect to Liz Windsor and the Duke of Edinburgh (who are not without their moments), I do have to admit I am a fan of Franz, Duke of Bavaria (full name and title, Franz Bonaventura Adalbert Maria Herzog von Bayern), the current claimant (Francis II, King of England, Scotland, France and Ireland) to the Jacobite crown--even if he doesn't really spread the news around much these days. Dan Mitsui informs me, in addition to being Bastille Day, it's also the good Herzog's birthday. We would like to tell His Royal Highness that if he's reading this, which is very unlikely, we love Wittelsbachs here on the Shrine, especially since they seem to have a real knack for megalomaniacal building projects of extreme coolitude.
