November 7 - Solemn Latin Requiem at Notre Dame!
A friend at ND sends me the following about a Requiem to be held during the Octave of All Souls:
The Orestes Brownson Council of the University of Notre Dame will be sponsoring a solemn Latin Requiem Mass, celebrated according to the Pauline rite, with full Gregorian chant performed by the Notre Dame Gregorian Schola. The Mass is cosponsored by People of Devotion (P.O.D.), the Jacques Maritain Center, and the Notre Dame Department of Theology, and will take place at 5:15 pm on Tuesday, November 7th, in the Alumni Hall Chapel. Feel free to let anyone who might be interested know about this Mass. Please contact psmith13@nd.edu with any questions.There are very credible rumors of black vestments and the ad orientem use of the chapel's high altar in the offing, incidentally.
